Parkdale Library & SOMA: Best Ice Cream Ever

Parkdale Library is west of Dufferin Street on Queen Street. It is one of the only libraries where you can take out musical instruments. You need to ask the librarian to get the musical instrument for you.

There is a big kids section and a good-sized teen section.

I went on August 2nd but I did not get an ice cream sandwich

The bathroom was big but did not have an automatic button.

There is also a big Black Heritage Collection called the Rita Cox Collection. The collection is at four different libraries and contains many different kinds of books.

Bookshelf with a few books

I got a book from the collection, called Briarcliff Prep by Brianna Peppins.

After I went to Parkdale Library, I went to SOMA Chocolatemaker on Brock Street, a chocolate store selling ice cream on Fridays. It is a 5-minute walk from Parkdale Library. It was very accessible, there was enough room between the tables and shelves.

This is where SOMA makes their chocolate

There was even an automatic button to get in. I had to wait for my peaches and cream gelato for 5 minutes, but it was worth the wait. It was the best gelato I have ever had.

I also got pistachio butter and orange dark chocolate for later.

Overall, SOMA Chocolatemaker was very accessible, and Parkdale Library was less accessible but still pretty good.
