Northern District Library

Updated: Aug 1, 2024

Northern District Library is a five-minute walk from Eglington Station. I got a lift from the library and back. When I went there, the sidewalk was under construction, but I got into the library with no trouble. The library building was built in the 1980s, and you could see it in the design.

There was a lot of space between the shelves. On the library website, it said there was a teen zone, but when I got there, I saw it was very small and disappointing.

The bathroom was not wheelchair accessible. The hallway to get into the bathroom was too narrow.

I took out Talon by Julie Kagawa. After I left the Northern District Library, I went to Yole in the Yonge-Eglington Centre.

The elevators in the mall were complicated, and the mall was hard to navigate. When I got to Yole, I ordered Chocolate Hazelnut. I knew that Yole was sugar-free, but it got a 4.9 on Google Maps, so I decided to try it. It was disgusting! It didn’t taste anything like chocolate or hazelnuts. I will never go back there again. Also, the table in the food court was sticky.

Overall, the Northern District Library was pretty accessible and the Yonge-Eglington Centre was less accessible but manageable.
